Today was "half" normal....I thought we started school today, but apparently I missed the memo in all the chaos over the past few weeks and we actually start tomorrow...huh? Whatever...
Anyway, I spent all day cleaning and organizing and catching up on all the household things that have slowly fell apart since December's roller coaster ride started. It felt great too! Big deep breaths, clean house, clean windows, laundry almost done, kids bathed and in bed....and I decided it was time to come home to my blog. I've missed it!
It's funny how you get on a rhythm with blogging. I feel so "out of the loop" and completely lost right now. My mind is a little blank, board, but refreshed too. I have A LOT of catching up to do too. For those of you who have "awarded" me and tagged me...I'll get on it soon! Please remind me if you don't hear from me...and THANK YOU!!
Anyway, to Kick off this year I'm going to just throw out a giveaway and make myself feel right at home. I'm going to giveaway a Cherish Bound Family Yearbook Story Starter. I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get 2008 in the books and DONE! Lots to remember and so many stories to be retold and pictures to be shared. This great Story Starter helps you organize and write your family's stories throughout the past year.
Just leave a comment and share your most memorable story from 2008. If you post about it on your blog and/or tweet about it I'll give you 5 more chances to win!! Giveaway ends on Sunday, January 11th @ 11:59 pm. Make sure you leave your email in your comment if you don't have a blog!

2008 was awesome! I started a new blog and treasure the friendships I am building through it :) Please count me in on your giveaway! Have a great night! ♥ Hugs :) Shauna
I would love to win one for a friend of mine who lost her son in 2008. I know she has many memories to record and I would love to give her something special to do that with...this would be perfect. Thanks!
We have so many great times over here, but one story in particular would have to be a family outing to a favorite park near-by. We walked, talked, spotted animales, played, caught bugs and just enjoyed each other. I love watching my dear husband with the kids outside. He identifies plants, which ones you can eat, insects and leaves. These kids gravitate towards him and I really enjoy that.
I linked you to my blog this morning. Just sharing the love.
In 2008, hubby got a new great job and we moved to NC.
Easy. The creation of #GNO... it was a total accident and we had no idea the reach and the fun back when there were 3 of us trying to figure out twitter on a tuesday night in September!!
Happy 2009 to you!
In 2008, my first niece was born!
We spent the summer in California... 5 weeks and it was wonderful to be with family when we are so far from all of them during the year. I'd love to get that all documented!
I guess my most "memorable" moment of 2008 was that all of my siblings (there are five of us) and our families (our three spouses, 8 kids and 5 grandchildren) were able to spend my dad's 80th birthday with him...we traveled to Michigan all the way from Idaho, Boston, Hawaii & California for the week and the party...he passed away three days after his party and the day before his 80th birthday (he always said he never wanted to get old-guess he thought 80 was old :-))...we are SOOOO blessed to have all been able to have spent that time with him and for him to be wtih his entire family before he left us...
My most memorable story is spending Thanksgiving with my family. Throughout the year my grandmother has been very sick- sick enough that I didn't think she would make it to Christmas. Over Thanksgiving we were ALL able to get together and have "Christmas." It wasn't December 25th, but it still felt like Christmas having everyone together, yummy food, and opening presents.
Side note, my grandmother did make it to Christmas and is doing well. Praise God:)!
Thanks for the generous giveaway!
I started my blog in 2008.

What a fun giveaway!! My most memorable story form 2008? Hmmm....the first one that came to my mind was when my 3 year old son drank ALL my daughter's amoxicillian because he liked it so much. He was sent to the ER for that. Exciting!
I'm off to tweet about it now! (1momof5)

One of my favorite memories of 2008 is of my oldest Son participating as a full fledge volunteer firefighter in his first parade! He put on his uniform came out to show me and I swear I saw a slideshow in my head and heart of him from baby to now (at 16) and even possible snapshots of the future. Then to see him march, along side his step-father and to have his father (my ex) in the crowd watching I glance over to see him openly crying with pride, may be one of the most precious moments of 2008 for me.

My favorite memory is of sons starting to play together and enjoy each other. My youngest is old enough to run, play and goof around with his hold brother. My oldest asked everyday since the youngest was born "when will Jasper grow up so I can play with him.?" He is growing and it is fun seeing their bond form!
my favorite memory of 2008 is going home for christmas and seeing all my family and friends and meeting my new nephew. we live 14 hours away so it is always good to come home for the holidays after being away for over 6 months!! thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite memory was the birth of my grandson, Hunter. My son, Hunter's father has spina bifida and we were told he probably would never be a daddy and his wife delivered their beautiful baby boy on Jan. 29th 2008. It truley was a blessing. My plans for 2009 are to start a blog, take more pictures.
