Tuesday Tradition #40 Writing & Sharing Your Love Story & Giveaway!

I just realized this is the 40th tradition that I've posted...wow! I have to say I'm ever so slightly proud of myself. We've got quite a collection of traditions here. There are plenty to go around and enough to last the entire year. I hope you enjoy them all and please feel free to share and pass on all of yours as well.

With Valentine's Day knocking on the door, Lve is in the air. What a prefect time to reflect, write and share your Love Story. Many people never take the time to write down the details of a love story. We all have a love story....some are fairytale-like and others...well, let's just say lessons can be learned.

Take the time to sit down write a few words in your journal or "type" them up and tell about how you met, your first kiss, when you knew "he" was the one. Or how about the first time your eyes met? The first time your boyfriend met your parents? You can't help but have those sweet feelings flood your heart again and put a smile on your face.

Need some help remembering those moments? Well, I have the perfect tool! By using Cherish Bound's "Falling In Love" Story Starter, you'll be prompted with over 50 ideas and questions about your love story. With room to jot down your thoughts you'll organize and collect all those memories in one place. Something fun to do is have your hubby answer the same questions and create a "He said, She said" version of your love story. My hubby and I did this...Oh, it was fun!!! And let's just say we both remember our Love Story VERY differently...but I so remember his adorable perm, checkered Vans, and gray parachute pants with safety pins all the way up his calves.......beautiful!

This is one of our most popular Story Starters for good reason. Read through the questions with the one you love and write your story to share with everyone. And when you're done collecting those memories...You can put them into this adorable "Love Book" from Cherish Bound. It's the cutest 5x5 book with pink and brown accents. SOOO CUTE!

Would you like a chance to WIN the Falling in Love Story Starter?

One quality that made me fall in love with Kev was how loving and caring he is. Everyone says I should write about the way we met so this would be cool. To give you a glimpse, we dated long distance for 3 months and then got married (my dad married us) after planning a quick wedding in 24 hrs AND we just celebrated 12 awesome years.

Thanks for the chance to enter.

My Hubby~
My Hubby is the first person in my life that has made me feel as if I could do anything. I love that I do not have to edit my thoughts or explain my actions. I knew he was the one when we were sitting together but not talking, silence. But not an uncomfortable silence. It was a peaceful silence the kind that you just want to soak in and always remember. Later on after we were married I mentioned this to him, he laughed and said he had always felt the same way.

I met my husband when he was an LDS missionary. My parents invited him and his companion over for dinner. I was really struck with how funny he was. He wasn't just another "stuffed shirt" and then the real clincher when after dinner was over he helped clear the table just like he was at his own parents house. We were friends from that point on and after he returned home from serving his mission, I chased him down and convinced him to marry.

We had this joke that I loved hubby for his letter-opening abilities, and he, me for my ability to turn off the stove because we had problems remembering to do both. In our first year together we spent probably 19 hours out of the day together, so I'm sure it was the product of having too much time on our hands. Regardless, those two qualities were put in our wedding vows.

Really I think that's indicative of how much we need each other, we make each other laugh and are best friends.

At the time, it was his boyish good looks, great sense of humor, and his personal motivation to be the best.
After we had our first baby, I fell in love with him all over again. Becoming a father changed him in ways that I can't quite put into words.
I'm following you (in that non-creepy kind of way) via twitter and blogger! Great great blog BTW, I've got a lot of reading to do!!

My husband brought a frozen Pepperidge Farm cake to my dorm room lobby one night to share with me and all my friends. Who wouldn't love that?

I'm a new follower. Going to try to catch up on the yearbook challenge. Good thing I started a 365 picture blog! Anyway it's his kindness & ability to make me & everyone else at ease. That was very comforting!

One of the MANY reasons I fell in love with my husband was his constant caring for not just myself but for his family and my own. My father was injured in a car/pedestrian accident quite badly and at the time I was dating another man. My now husband was my best friend and he was the one by my side at the hospital the entire night and every day after the accident. It proved to me just how much he loved and cherished me and my family. He took such good care of me and was there for me emotionally. I knew there was no better man on the plant.

One of my other favorite qualities is that he can make me laugh. When I'm up or down, he can always make me laugh and it changes my mood for the better instantly. :-)

My husband has a way of handling situations in a very calm manner. He's always been a rock and I learn by watching him all the time. His patience inspires me.
