We're already into our 6th week of 2009! Stories, memories and photos are starting to flow, so keep it up!! I'm hearing so many great things from all who are participating!! Very exciting!
If you're just joining us for the Family Yearbook Challenge, click HERE to catch up! Don't forget to grab the button up at the top of my blog!! Let's get everyone in on this challenge!
Homework Feb 9 - 15:
1. Winter Sports: Are your kids involved in winter sports in school, community, recreational? If so, how was their season? Team name? Colors? What did they learn? Did you or your spouse play any sports? Run a marathon? Play some pick-up games of basketball at the park?
2. Anyone play the piano or an instrument in your family? Which one? How long? What's their dedication/practice like? Are they improving? Did anyone else from your family play instruments as well? What inspired this person to play this instrument? What is their favorite song to play?
3. Highlight a grandparent. Find out more about one of the grandparents in your family. Interview them. Ask questions about when they were little, favorite childhood memory, any special advice they can pass on to you.....let them talk. Just listen. Ask for any pictures of important that you can scan and save.
4. Valentine's Day: Special traditions? Gifts? Crafts? How do you and your family share your love for each other throughout the year? Tell about your last date with your spouse. Where did you go? What did you do?
Let these questions prompt you into writing whatever comes to your mind.
Be Creative! Let the stories flow....
After you're done collecting this information and it's typed into a Word doc, save it in your FYB_2009 folder under February and name it Feb9-15.
Now COPY and paste any photos that you have that go with these events and questions into the January folder. If you'd like to rename the photos you can with Feb 1, Feb 2, Feb 3, and so on and so on. If you have any memorabilia that is NOT digital, scan and save as a jpg. minimum 300 dpi to your February, named and labeled.
