I'm officially welcoming myself back into the world...life has been a roller coaster these past few months, but oddly enough I always feel blessed through the ups and the downs.Today we headed back to school with schedules and commitments in full swing...and I feel refreshed and ready to make this year amazing! Life has been good to our family. On Sunday I took some time to reflect on our summer and the time that we were able to spend together....it was wonderful, rewarding and a turning point for our family. Something sweet happened this summer, not sure what it was....but I'll take it!
For me the start of school is like a second Spring Cleaning...time to tackle some projects and find order and schedule again...but also time to make sure I'm taking care of myself and my family in the ways that matter. I always make sure I write in my journal on the first day back to school...I love to record my goals and hopes and dreams for myself, my kids, my hubby and our family as a whole. I especially love reading the entries from years past...I always take the time to write about each of my children individually. It's a great place to record my deepest thoughts and love for them. Someday I hope they find it....and maybe get a glimpse of just how much they were loved.
Take the time today to write in your journal today....

What a wonderful tradition!
After spending a couple of hours on a piece of broken machinery (oh the joys of owning a home!), I decided I should do something special to mark the "first day of school" so I spent a few minutes stumbling through a Beethoven Sonata. Maybe if I do that every school day, it eventually will sound half-way decent!
P.S. One of our summer projects was to upgrade our computer. I'm so excited I can actually access your blog without the computer freezing! Have a wonderful day.
In the UK, a study sponsored by communications company BT at the end of 2007 estimated that over 60% of all new businesses are started from home. (Home Business Report, Enterprise Nation for BT, October 2007) In August 2008, a Daily Telegraph survey, sponsored by communications company O2, of 500 small UK firms reported that 10% had chosen not to renew leases this year intending to work from home instead.

Welcome back!
Hello Tara - what a great post. What a neat idea to make goals at this time of year. What a blessing it would be to look back on how God has increased your family's bond.
Blessings,
Marie

What a great post.. I always feel ready for structure at the start of school. Sometimes it takes me a few weeks to get use to the schedules. I liked your idea of journaling.. I do write in a journal but, not as often as I should. It is a busy time but, I know it can be an enriching and joyful time too.. I enjoyed your post.. Have a great week.
What a super post! I hope your children have a wonderful school year! Blessings!
You sound refreshed and invigorated. You've given me a breath of fresh air today, girl!
