Banana Spider is what...holy freaking cow! Check this Mama out! She's about the size of my hand spread out and is sitting outside my kitchen window in a thick beautiful web. Been in Florida 4 years and this is THE biggest spider we've found yet...thanks good Mr. Pest Control will be here in 38 minutes!!

Weird! My husband HATES bananas and is DEATHLY AFRAID of spiders! I'm showing him this picture!
Of course the homeschooling mom in me says, "catch it and put it in a jar so we can study it!" But secretly I'm thankful I've never run across a spider that hunkin' huge! Whew.
Geez - now my skin itches.... yuck!!!

Holy cow is right! Looks like something from Aliens. All of God's creations are beautiful, but this one is beautiful in a scary sort of way. Did you find out if it's poisonous?

A pest control guy stopped by my house the other day to sell me... well, pest control. And when I opened the door, he pointed up and said, "I swear, I didn't plant that there!" I looked up and there was the biggest spider I've ever seen (and it wasn't pretty - it was gross). I signed up on the spot, because even though my husband scoffs at such services, and I don't have a PENNY to spare, there is NO WAY I'm going to walk out my front door and have that thing fall on my head!
