Confessions of an Ex-Scrapbooker #31 - Look what I'm sewing today!

I know... Me? Sewing? Yes....I actually can sew. It's crazy to think that I can sew, but I can. I actually used to have a handmade purse/gift bag company that I did with my friend in California.

So....my inspiring and talented friend here in Florida has me all pumped up to sew our girl's Easter dress and ties for the boys. So today/tonight my sewing adventure begins....

Here's what I'm making...

For the BOYS

I'm using this AWESOME tutorial from The Purl Bee

to make those adorable ties!!!

And for the GIRLS we're sewing these....

I can sew curtains, blankets, and anything else that pretty much only involves straight lines and no patterns...I'm jealous!

Ties seem like they'd be difficult. Who am I kidding? I'm not the greatest seamstress, anything is difficult for me, aside from pillow cases! LOL Good luck!

Hi Tara! I am new to SITS and found you through Chic Chick Media.
I love your blog...and after reading your bio...we have a lot in common...I must have my diet coke too! I also hate laundry...mainly because there is always so much of it!

I bought my daughter a sewing machine for Christmas...I don't sew and the machine is in her closet. I thought maybe when she is out of school for the summer that maybe someone could teach both of us. I know she will be good at it...she is good with crafts and catches onto things quickly.

Anyway...I'll be back to read your blog and I look forward to getting to know you better!
